Serve Locally in the Houston Area
There are a number of organizations with ministries around the world that Access believes in and partners with. Join us in supporting these organizations and their mission to change the world.
The HangOUT
For ten years, the Hangout has been meeting with friends in Hermann Park through casual conversations, games like chess or dominos, or celebrating birthdays each month. This ministry works to be a part of God’s redemptive plan for all and follows in the footsteps of the Acts church, filled with people from various backgrounds and embracing our commonalities and differences whatever they may be.
Houston Welcomes REfugees (HWR)
HWR’s mission is to help ease the resettlement process for refugees coming to Houston by mobilizing invested, caring volunteers, fostering hope amidst crisis.
Intervarsity- Gulf Coast Area
The purpose of InterVarsity is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world. InterVarsity is currently present at University of Houston, Rice, Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M, Texas A&M, UH-Clear Lake, and Houston Community College.
Spring BrancH Ministry Partners
Spring Branch Ministry Partners in the neighborhood come together to hold a “Christmas in the Park” event and an Easter Sunrise service for the community. Access participates in these by hosting a craft booth at the Christmas in the Park event, and by providing Bible reading in different languages at the Easter Sunrise Service.
