Many of us are eager to encounter God through the spiritual practices of prayer, praise and worship, and times of reflection and solitude. But what about lament? Noticing and focusing on God’s presence in the midst of trouble and heartache is more difficult, especially when we allow ourselves to lean into the problems without necessarily looking for the solutions. The good news is, God meets us in lament! God’s people have a rich and biblical history of expressing lamentations individually and communally and God has a faithful record of responding. In this group, we will explore lament through biblical passages and intentional practices together.
This group will be facilitated by Nate Dickerson and Alexis Busetti and meet in person, Thursdays in October from 7:30-9pm.
