Soul Care Retreat: Life of the Beloved

"Yes there is that voice, the voice that speaks from above and from within and that whispers softly or declares loudly: 'You are my Beloved, on you my favor rests.' It certainly is not easy to hear that voice in a world filled with voices that shout: You are no good, you are ugly; you are worthless; you are despicable, you are nobody—unless you can demonstrate the opposite."
—Henri Nouwen (Life of the Beloved)

Being the Beloved is more than a beautiful thought or a lofty idea. Becoming the Beloved means "letting the truth of our Belovedness become enfleshed in everything we think, say, or do." Join us as we set aside a full day to listen for the voice of the One who calls us Beloved and explore what life as God's Beloved might look like at Leadership Transformation's next Soul Care Retreat on November 19, 2016.

What to Expect: Brief segments of the day will be spent introducing you to spiritual formation topics and practices — but there will also be blocks of time dedicated to silence, solitude, prayer, and reflection. Retreat participants have the option to meet with a spiritual director.

What to bring: Bible, journal, and a pen. All other materials will be included. Lunch is provided.

What not to bring: Cell phone, laptop, iPod, or anything else that will be a distraction or barrier to getting the most out of your silence/solitude experience.
