Welcoming the Stranger Learning Group: A Biblical Response to the Refugee Crisis

Refugee learning group slide 2019.png

You are invited to join a 4-week learning group exploring the global refugee crisis and a biblical response to what is considered the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time. Houston is America’s top resettlement city for refugees—who are they? Where do they come from? And what do we do about them? This group will be led by Cindy Wu, who works for houston welcomes refugees and Camille Frey, who works for Amanaah Refugee Services. We'll learn facts about the refugee crisis and reflect on God’s heart for the stranger.

Our text will be a workbook written by Cindy, A Better Country: Embracing the Refugees in Our Midst, which you can purchase at our table after church or buy off Amazon.com. Meetings will be held Tuesday evenings at Access, beginning June 4 and ending July 2. We hope you will join us!

We ask that all who register commit to at least 3 of the 4 meetings.
